A community based awareness programme on prevention from transmission of COVID 19 got underway in the 231 Brigade HQ in Batticaloa on Monday (02). A large gathering of civilians were educated on those aspects.
It was launched by 4 GW troops on the directions of Colonel Pradeep Gamage, Commander 231 Brigade. The Police and staff at the MOH office Batticaloa assisted the conduct of the programme.
It focused on preventive measures against COVID 19 and its critical effects for the health of human beings, contact risks, personal hygiene, etc Primarily, people were also educated on the importance of wearing face masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands.
